Export tariff – you will receive a further 3p/kWh from your energy supplier for each unit you export back to the electricity grid, that is when it isn’t used on site. The export rate will be estimated at 50% of the electricity generated from your Solar PV Installation. However, for working couples where no-one is home for most of the day, the amount could be as much as 75%!
A typical 2.2kWp Solar PV installation will “earn” approximately £27 per year from the Export Tarriff alone! (50% exported)
